PhD project Title:

Development of therapeutic and diagnostic agents targeting tumor lipid and sugar metabolism

Research summary:

I am a PhD student in Medicinal Chemistry and my research project is focused on the development of therapeutic and diagnostic agents targeting tumor lipid and sugar metabolism. In particular, I am currently working on two projects: the first one concerns the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new reversible inhibitors of monoacyglycerol lipase (MGL); the second one is focused on the design, synthesis and optimization of molecular probes which may be used for the imaging of glycolytic cancer cells.
